With the new addition of two 16 foot video walls, the 2024 Zombie Opera was our biggest and best show yet.

& donors

The Zombie Opera gets bigger and better every year, with audiences now averaging 4,000+ attendees per annual show. But no matter the size, we promise the Zombie Opera will stay free and accessible forever.

The Zombie Opera is made possible through a combination of grants, corporate sponsorships, small business partnerships and individual donations. We exist in so many ways thanks to the generosity of our Jersey City community. And every single contribution makes a difference.

Here’s how to make yours today:

Are you a business or corporation ?

In a city that goes big for Halloween, the Zombie Opera is one of its favorite parts. Audiences have grown from 1000 people filling Jersey Avenue between 6th St and 7th St in 2020 to more than 4000 people filling Hamilton Park in 2024.

Because we consistently hold the performance on the Saturday before Halloween, the need for advertising is minimal, and done almost entirely through locally-placed banners and word-of-mouth. On the day of the show, people begin reserving their spots in the park with blankets and chairs at 7am and return later to picnic and party with family and friends through the evening.

With food trucks and a small array of vendors stationed on the edges of Hamilton Park, the Zombie Opera continues to be a phenomenal day of community and commerce in Downtown Jersey City that’s looked forward to all year.

Are you a fan of the show?

Then we’re a fan of you! Your presence year after year is a gift to the whole team. But if you’re looking to support the Zombie Opera with more than your attendance, there are so many ways to do so. Donate something small (maybe once or maybe once a month) and think of it like buying one of us a cup of coffee. Or donate a little more and we can put it toward t-shirts or paint.

Every dollar matters and we make every dollar count.
